So we just printed the Cow Catchers and they don't seem to clear(make it over) our homebase.

Our homebase is 1/5 of an inch thick. 

So my question is does the homebase that is made by Signs In One Day clear the Cow Catchers?

Here is a pictures of ours

our home bases are flush with the ground at all points in order not to catch. Any lift or warp causes them to catch. I suggest taping the edge down around the outside with duck tape. Even on dirty ground it adheres well enough since its simply to remove any lift. The aluminum bases are even thinner than last years acrylic ones. I think it was like 2 or 3 mm thick but I cant quite remember of the top of my head.

 

I believe the current plan is all bases will be held down by roofing tar like last year

There may be a few factors.  Your collection zone sounds a little on the thick side.  Our acrylic ones from last year are made to be 3mm thick, but usually come out to be 3.1mm.  That's 0.12" in freedom units. 

Also, it looks like your cow catchers were printed using an FDM printer which tends to print things a bit bigger on each dimension than designed.  That oversizing is usually consistent and can be designed around, though.  Our parts are designed for and printed using SLS printing which tends to be more accurate to the specified dimensions.  I don't think I'd recommend that for most teams though, it's probably unnecessarily expensive.  

This year, we will be using aluminum collection zones which are only 1.6mm (~0.06") thick.  Also, the clearance I just measured on our front cow catchers is about 5mm (0.2").  That may vary a bit but we don't see any issues in our tests.  I think it's safe to ignore that factor in the competition.

If you're interested I can make the cowcatchers a little shorter for FDM printing.  It may not clear cubes out of the way as effectively but it would make a difference for clearing the collection zone.
